  1. Gain executive sponsorship internally
  2. Engage a non-bias 3rd party to manage the process and guide you thru. This is where bautomated.com comes in!  Believe me this goes a long way with internal struggles between teams on who thinks which tool is best!
  3. Map out your requirements – interview internal stakeholders. This must be documented to ensure the tool meets all needs.
  4. Looks for best in class vendors in the space that can compete for your business, engage them with RFP’s and get demos.
  5. Create a matrix of requirements against tool capabilities and score it.
  6. Review scores and costs and create a case for which vendor/tool will suit your needs best.
  7. Circulate this plan internally and gain cross functional team buy in.
  8. Engage selected tool and move into migration/implementation phase (more on that to come in another blog…hint, we do this too)!
